The focus with Cactus Saddlery in building the Charmayne James Barrel Saddles was to build a saddle that fit a horse correctly and comfortably. The suede-covered neoprene foam lining on the saddle skirts acts as a shock absorber and provides a closer fitting saddle with minimal slipping. "During a run, you need to be able to sit down and be deep-seated while turning and then able to get up and over your horse quickly between barrels. We moved the stirrups forward to help this positioning. Besides being comfortable to ride, these saddles easily fit the majority of horses". |
